Showreel - 2015
This is not a major update, but after (too) long I managed to update my showreel. You can find it below in the work section. See it on Vimeo for the best resolution. I had fun making it and I hope you like it.

NFC
Being the Art Director sometimes means to look for alternative ways to promote the product or the company. I took interest in NFC tags and I see the huge potential in using them in marketing. Right now I am testing some possibilities and ideas. Work and play :)

DIFC Ticker
This is a major update. After months of preparing, deliberating and planning, we successfully launched the full color, 96 meters LED ticker in front of the DIFC. I took a major part of the layout planning, made the animations that are currently running and helpt with decision making. The ticker recieved massive attention and very positive reactions between Dubai residents and the media.

New Offices
My company got the new offices and I must say that I like my new environment. As I spend most of the working day there, at least I get to enjoy the view :)

Cadillac
I had a massive project of presenting new Caddilac car in front of DIFC. I have made collateral in print and digital, participated in marketing strategies and made a video overview of the project in the form of infographics after the event was done. It was a great success and the clients were very excited and satisfied.

Vacation
I am going to Vienna, one of the art hubs of Europe and spend 2 weeks visiting museums with my wife. Nothing better than resting while charging creative batteries.
Edit: I just came back, the vacation was an epic success. Ready to tackle new projects and tasks.

Cinema 4D
Started learning something new. I feel it's time to make another step forward and add Cinema 4D to the list of skills. Why not more popular choices like 3DMAX or Maya you might ask? Well, I find C4D more streamlined for the type of work I am doing... And on less rational side, I found it likable the very second I discovered it was originally developed for Amiga computers :)

Motion Graphics
I had some really nice motion graphics projects recently and am proud to say that clients were thrilled. It feels good when I have a challenging task. The effort level is higher, feeling of accomplishment is higher, thinking out of the box and learning something new is also there. I will construct some overview of what i'm talking about soon and display it in the WORK section.

Physical exercise
This is not technical but equally important. Back pain, neck pain, headache, constantly growing waist line, fatigue, and poor diet are just some of the things to come with the job. You have to fight it with the physical exercise. Motivation is sometimes difficult to obtain after hard working day when all you want to do is eat and sleep, but you have to look at it as maintenance, you have to maintain your body in order for it to serve you better in the future.

Launch
The website is finally ready to go live. I uploaded some videos in the gallery, ironed out few wrinkles in the code, created some new functionalities and made few UI changes (for example, it will be on one page instead of multiple pages). As mentioned before, this is in no way final version of the website. It will change and evolve as I find better ways to improve it.

Coding
Coding the website in a free time is not an easy work because it requires a lot of concentration. I found jQuery scripts that will provide the envisioned functionality to the website. With few tweaks I made them work and I feel good about the result. The main page layout is almost done and I will continue making other pages.

Design Concept
I made a design concept I am satisfied with. By no means have I thought of it as a final design. I plan to shape and improve it over time, but I think it has a solid base I can start with. Now comes the coding part, translating the Photoshop image into the web page. Coding for me is like a big puzzle that I need to solve so the page will show in every browser exactly like I made it in Photoshop.

Fresh Website
I started thinking about making a fresh website. Not that the previous one was dull, but I guess I learned more stuff in the meantime and it is a good time for a revamp.
I will keep the color scheme from the previous version since I grow to love it and I consider it my own :)
